Chicken pilaf with peaches

This dish used to be similar to risotto, but nowadays you’ll mostly see this very easy version of a chicken pilaf with peaches. Mmm!

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken fillet or thighs

  • 1 onion

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 250 g cubed tomatoes

  • 1.5 tbsp sambal badjak

  • 1 cube for chicken stock

  • 1 large can (~500g) of peaches

  • 5 tbp ketjap

  • splash of worchestersauce

  • 250 g mushrooms

  • 1 red pepper

  • little bit of cornflour

Directions

  • Cut chicken breasts in cubes, mushrooms in slices and pepper in cubes. Cut the peaches small or big, to your liking.

  • Fry chicken shortly, add onion, mushrooms, garlic and pepper. Also add ketjap and sambal.

  • When chicken is cooked through, add tomatoes, tomato paste, peaches with fluids, worchester sauce and the chicken stock cube.

  • Thicken the sauce with cornflour if necessary. Add salt en pepper.

  • Serve with rice
