Simple Chicken satay
Satay traditionally is a dish consisting of skewered and grilled meat, served with sauce. This is a simplified version, for those who don’t have a grill.
Serves: 2
Ingredients
2 Chicken breasts
2 onions
1 clove of garlic
9 tbsp. ketchup
9 tbsp. ketjap
6 tbsp. brown sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar
5 tbsp. peanut butter
Salt and pepper
Vegetables of choice
Prawn crackers
Rice
Directions
Cut chicken breasts in cubes and fry with salt and pepper
Remove chicken from pan and sauté onions in the same oil
Add vegetables
Add half a cup of water together with the minced garlic
Add the ketchup, ketjap, vinegar, brown sugar and peanut butter
Add chicken and simmer until meat is done
Serve with rice and prawn crackers
